Possession of drugs or alcohol will result in discipline up to expulsion from school.

Excessive tardies will not be subject to disciplinary actions.

Encouraging other students to fight, being around a fight, or going to a fight is considered fight promotion.

Student visitors are permitted any day that school is in session.

If a student is wearing clothing which is inappropriate, he/she cannot be asked to change or turn it inside out.

All students must dress appropriately for a professional workplace.

The school has the right, under certain circumstances, to search student possessions, lockers or cars.

Students should have an understanding of expectations, responsibilities, and rights as a student of NMHS.

The North Mason High School parking lot and the surrounding areas are off limits to all students during the school day.

An absence without a note or telephone call will be considered a truancy.

Respect for others is critical in order to have a safe and positive environment.

Students have the right to possess alcohol as long as they don’t use it.

Possession of drug paraphernalia is a violation of school rules.

School rules and regulations are in effect only during school hours.

Users are responsible for appropriate content while using school wifi or equipment.

Absences must be excused before class the day of return, either with a note or phone call from a parent/guardian.

Harassment of any type (sexual, etc.) is considered a zero tolerance offense and may result in suspension.

Students must follow the reasonable directions of all staff members.

Every student has the right to a quality education without disruption or harassment from others.

A student may lose his/her athletic eligibility, in addition to school discipline, for school violations.

North Mason has a closed campus policy.

Students may purchase a dance ticket for a non-NMHS student and then complete a Dance Request Form in the office.

Students must obtain an early dismissal slip from the attendance secretary before leaving campus.

Parking violations will result in a $10.00 fine for the first offense.

Excessive absences from a participation-based class may result in a lowered grade or no credit for the class.

Fighting will result in a suspension from school.

Student parking in the upper faculty parking lot is allowed at all times.

E-Cigarettes are not considered a violation of the Drugs/Alcohol policy.

Students only have to identify themselves to staff when they do something against school rules.

Students driving vehicles to school should vacate the parking lot immediately upon arrival.

Students may not be able to play on sports teams and/or purchase dance tickets if they have outstanding fines.
