NWEA MAP Assessment

NWEA MAP does not provide data connected to College and Career Readiness.

NWEA MAP Assessment is a test of achievement.

MAP assessments use a specific item bank aligned to the NYS Common Core Learning Standards.

The norms tell us what is expected and the percentile rank tells us what is typical.

RIT scores range from 100 - 300.

The standard deviation tells a teacher the range of student abilities in a class.

Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) tells us where a student does well.

The Learning Continuum outlines skills students are ready to learn.

NWEA MAP measures students' grade level ability.

Normative data is determined by the scores of 2 million US students.
