We should read the Bible from a reason-based perspective, only.

Jesus wants a relationship with us based on our free choice to love and follow him.

A way of interpreting scripture with the goal of prayerfully understanding why or how God is at work within a story

Jesus’s example is meant to teach us how to act so that we can experience happiness on earth, and eternal happiness

stories in the Bible, particularly stories the Book of Genesis, should be interpreted as scientifically true

The belief that biblical teachings have no moral value if they lack scientific accuracy

A Catholic belief that states Mary is the only human in history (besides Jesus) to be preserved from Original Sin

God becoming human for our salvation and so that we might have a relationship with Him

A way of interpreting to scripture with the goal of understanding what the authors intended to express

Jesus’s early life was unusual and privileged because he grew up in a wealthy family and did not have to work. 

Catholics believe that human authors wrote the Bible under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

We can interpret the Bible based on nothing but our feelings and personal experiences.

The Gospels give us a lot of information about Jesus’s early life and childhood.

The Bible contains everything we need to know for salvation.
