Ohio Summit 2019

A RIT scale score measures a student's grade level performance.

MAP is designed for students to get 50% of items correct and 50% of items incorrect

MAP Growth is a grade-level independent assessment

All students have equally challenging growth projections irrespective of RIT point projections.

MAP provides a standard, non-customized growth projection for all students in a grade.

Students will increase their achievement percentiles if they meet their growth projections.

MAP is an assessment to determine mastery of skills

10 points of RIT growth is better growth achievement than 5 points of RIT growth.

A student who meets projected growth will have a growth percentile of 50.

The mean, or 50th percentile, is a benchmark for student grade level performance on MAP.
