What is Gravity assist?

using gravity field to speed up,slowdown,or change direction

What is Acceleration?

Change in speed over a period of time

How come osiris-rex cannot simply go directly to the asteroid bennu? (1st paragraph page 1)

Would take too much power, fuel, and too large a spacecraft!

What does prograde mean?

rotating in the same direction as it's orbit

What does retrograde mean?

rotating in the opposite direction of it's orbit

Circular path followed by object under influence of gravity

it's measurement of amount of matter in an object, if it has mass than it is affected by the force of gravity

What is centripetal force?

force keeping a body moving at samespeed along circular path

What does retrograde mean?
how scientist graded before
how far behind an object is
rotating in the same direction of its orbit
rotating in the opposite direction of it's orbit
11
What is an orbit?
Circular path followed by object under influence of gravity
circular path followed only by earth
circular path only planets can do
12
What does Mass mean?
it's measurement of amount of matter in an object
measurement of a planet
how heavy a person is
if it has mass than it is affected by the force of gravity
13
What is centripetal force?
how force is in the center
force keeping a body moving at samespeed along circular path
How awesome petals are in the center
the force in the center of a planet
