What effect will melting ice have that will trigger a feedback loop?

the ground will absorb more solar energy leading to warming

what is the "change" part of climate scientists are so concerned about now?

there has been a long term trend of temperatures increasing

prevailing winds are too weak to move warm surface water

usually if land or water is warm it will lead to

clouds formation and precipitation

2
What effect will melting ice have that will trigger a feedback loop?
more water will flow
the ground will absorb less solar energy leading to cooling
this will have no effect
the ground will absorb more solar energy leading to warming
3
the following information can be analyzed from ice cores
concentration of greenhouse gases
precipitation levels
volcanic eruptions
all of the above

plate tectonics
all of the above
precession
5
Eccentricity refers to
earth's tilt
shape of the earth's orbit
earth warming
earth wobbling
6
what is the "change" part of climate scientists are so concerned about now?
the climate cycles naturally between warm and cold periods
there has been a long term trend of temperatures increasing
the tilt of the earth varies
climate drift occurs slowly
7
warmer periods are called
glacial periods
ice ages
interglacial periods
none of the above
8
What is the method scientists use to study climate from hundreds of years ago?
satellite data
tree rings
they look outside
ice cores
9
T or F: crops can be threatened by too much or too little rain
true
false
10
wider tree rings mean
there was less precipitation
there was a forest fire
none of the above
there was more precipitation
11
which of the following are effects of climate change
changing weather patterns
all of the above
glaciers melting
plants flowering sooner
12
most personal greenhouse gas emissions come from
water heating
home heating and cooling
appliances and light
transportation
13
El nino is when
prevailing winds are too strong and move water too much
glaciers melt
volcanic eruptions occur
prevailing winds are too weak to move warm surface water
14
Tor F : although animals may migrate, climate change wont impact biodiversity
true
false
15
usually if land or water is warm it will lead to
change in ocean current
snow
none of the above
clouds formation and precipitation
16
