1
During the fetch stage of the machine instruction cycle, what does the CPU primarily do?
The CPU gets the next instruction and stores it in a register.
The CPU writes the processed data back into memory or a register
CPU performs the required calculations or actions based on the instruction
The CPU interprets the instruction and determines the necessary operations
2
Which is a common feature of most software applications?
Every application includes cloud storage.
Direct access to the CPU’s registers.
The ability to edit hardware settings.

The ALU stores and manages all computer memory.
5
Data Bus
The Data Bus transfers data between the CPU, memory, and devices
The Data Bus only transfers data from memory to the CPU, not back
The Data Bus sends signals to control how the CPU operates.
The Data Bus stores data temporarily while the CPU processes it.
6
What are Registers
Registers control the computer’s graphics and display
Registers connect the computer to the internet and networks
Registers permanently store files like a hard drive.

ROM processes all calculations and logic in the CPU.
12
How does the Memory Address Register (MAR) function in a CPU?
It holds the address of the next data or instruction to be fetched.
It processes and decodes instructions before execution.
It holds the address of the next data or instruction to be fetched.
It permanently stores memory addresses for quick access.
13
What is the primary role of the Memory Data Register
It stores the memory address of the next instruction.
It permanently holds frequently used data for quick access.
It executes instructions after fetching them.
It temporarily holds data being transferred to or from memory
