Network/Internet Responsible Use Policy

Any work, Internet searches, emails, etc. will be monitored by school personnel at any time.

I understand the RUP and agree to the responsibilities stated.

It is okay for students to share personal information (name, phone #, address) on line.

Students should always log out of unattended devices and accounts to maintain privacy.

Always treat others with respect while posting online.

Student misuse on school computers could result in having your computer privileges revoked. 

Never send hateful, discriminatory, or harassing digital communications, or engage in sexting.

Students are responsible for practicing positive digital citizenship.

Students are responsible for accessing only educational content on District technology.

Students are permitted to alter or add files to customize their assigned computer.

Internet activities are monitored to assist in restricting access to inappropriate sites.

It's ok to try to get around security settings and filters to access blocked websites.

Students are responsible if they damage any school technology. 

The RUP doesn't apply when District equipment is used off District property.

It is ok to share your usernames and passwords with your friends.

When using the Internet students do not need to follow copyright laws.

The RUP applies to the Wi-Fi at school while on my personal device.

Water bottles should be kept on the floor, not next to computers.

All students have the right to use the school computers.
