Coding Fundamentals Final Review

How do you INITIALIZE your character?

Code which will run if a condition is met and ignore all other conditions.

When using conditional code, you can have a program repeat operations how many times?

The placeholder for extra information that gets passed to a function.

_______________ is the type of preliminary language used in SWIFT to layout the commands for a computer to perform.

Two strings combined to make a new string.

A certain action for the computer to perform.

A collection that will store an ordered list of items.

To run a program.

Stores a sequence of characters.

Either two conditions are required to be met.

A group of commands given the same name.

The practice of restructuring code without changing the outward behavior.

What is it called when Programmers frequently need to improve and update their code?

The value, shown as letter "i" in a For Loop, representing which item of a list is being used by the code.

The order in which the commands are given.

An adjustable value.

What is the best speed to run your code at when you are debugging the code?

The positional relationship of two things.

Code based on the value of a condition.

A grouping of methods and properties that is named.

Merging things or components together to create a whole new item.

If something is true or false.

Adding an initial value for any properties of a type.

What does iOS stand for?

Define Algorithm as used in Coding.

Two conditions are required to be met.

The description of the argument value followed by a colon in the parameter.

Code that will run if something is true.

A symbol or word that connects two or more boolean to make conditional decisions.

Runs a block of code over and over for a set number of times.

We built and used the iPads to control our Meebots.  What was the name of the application that was used for that?

A data type that defines variables with a number with a decimal point.

In SWIFT what symbols follow commands?

A variable in a type.

A loop that runs a block of code as long as a given condition is true. The loop stops running if the condition is false.

In Swift, we use  ______________________, a type of syntax or format for our commands.

When writing our code for SWIFT, what devices is the app available on?

To search for something on websites or in our ebook “Everybody Can Code Puzzles” what symbol do you look for?

Used to access properties or methods of an instance.

Telling a program to run a function.

In SWIFT, what does a (!) mean or stand for?

A value that is true or false.

The flow of data through if statements.

A number without a decimal.

A set of step by step instructions or rules.

A function in a type.

A system that uses true or false values that uses And, Or, Not statements.

To create a function in SWIFT, the following is correct:

“And” is notated in SWIFT through the following symbol:

An input value passed into a function to customize its behavior.

The opposite of the conditions must be true to be met.
