Why does the narrator in Remains describe the death in very informal terms eg: 'he's there on the ground...inside out'?
- To give the reader a gruesome reading experience
- To show how desensitised he has become to violence
- To make us feel sorry for the victim
- To try and deflect some of the guilt he feels because of the murder
