Test Taking Strategies

I should sit and daydream during testing.

I should stay up late the night before the PSSA's.

I should eat a good breakfast each morning.

If I cannot pronounce a word, I should just skip it and move on.

It is important to put forth effort on all multiple choice questions and written responses.

I should just start typing my TDA after reading the passage.

I should drink a lot of water on the morning of the tests.

If I am unsure of an answer, I should go with my gut and choose one.

I can use plain or lined paper for brainstorming and prewriting my TDA.

If I get stuck, close my eyes and take a nap.

I should wear comfortable clothing on the test days.

I should answer all the questions on the test, even if I am not sure I know the right answer.

I can go back and look in a passage as many times as I need.

It is no big deal if I am late or absent on the day of testing.

I should stay positive and try my best.
