the total population of a specific kind of plant
regional grouping of plants, animals, and other biotic factors
collection of interacting species living in a specific area
2
Carrying capacityy is the ______
potential growth in the number of species in a given area
maximum sustainable population size that a given environment can support
limitation on numbers of species in a community
greatest number of different niches possible in a given area
3
Acute exposure to an environmental toxic
involves low levels of exposure over long periods of time
makes it difficult to associate the symptoms whith a cause
is usually untreatabble and fatal
is a high exposure over short times
4
What is a biome?
small terrestrial regions, similar climate, soil, plants, and animals.
small terrestrial regions, different climate, soil, plants, and animals.
large terrestrial regions, similar climate, soil, plants, and animals.
5
I= PAT stands for____
Impact, People, Affluence, and Technology
Industry, People, Attitude, and Teaching
Impact, Population (# of People), Affluence, and technology
6
To determine your specific impacts on the environment, you can____
calculate your ecological footprint
determine your current water pollution impact

a systematic process of learning and testing our understanding of the world
guesses based on personal feelings
13
What is the precautionary principle?
Take action before having the full proof, toavoidserious or irreversibleharm
Never take action, because don't have full proof that will cause harm
