College Test Myth Vs. Reality

My test score is the most important factor in a college's admission decision.

I need to take the SAT a bunch of times to get the best possible score

If I'm going to a community college, I don't need to take the SAT

I can choose which colleges see my scores, and I can choose which scores to send.

I need to take an expensive test-prep course to get ready for the SAT

A low score on the SAT will keep me out of college.

I shouldn't apply to a school if my scores are below their published range.

If I get a really high score on the SAT, I can get in anywhere.

If I can't afford the fee, I can take the SAT for free.
