What are magnetic reversals?

The magnetic field changes & the north pole is the south

Earth's magnetic field direction is recorded in the rocks as magma cools and

the iron filaments line-up & "freeze" as it turns to rock.

How do magnetic reversals suggest the seafloor is spreading?

The seafloor alternates in magnetic polarity

Pangaea is the theory of the giant super continent, Pangaea is the theory of the giant land mass

Scientists have determined that Earth's magnetic field has reversed itself many times over

thousands or millions of years.

What are mid-ocean ridges?

long chains of mountains that rise up from the ocean floor.
