This picture shows a white shell covering a laser telescope. Why did NASA build the shell?

It protects the laser telescope from dust and rain

Why does NASA usually build laser telescopes on tall mountains?

To get above some of the clouds and humidity that interfere with lasers

Imagine that NASA wants to talk to a spacecraft that is on the other side of a planet. How would they do that?

NASA uses satellites high above Earth to relay messages around the planet

What is an example of laser communications?

Switching a laser on and off in fast patterns that computers can read

This picture shows a white shell covering a laser telescope. Why did NASA build the shell?
It deflects clouds
It powers the laser telescope
It focuses the laser telescope
It protects the laser telescope from dust and rain
5
Why does NASA usually build laser telescopes on tall mountains?
Because there are more clouds on top of mountains
Because the sledding is better
To get more energy from bigger solar panels
To get above some of the clouds and humidity that interfere with lasers

7
Imagine that NASA wants to talk to a spacecraft that is on the other side of a planet. How would they do that?
NASA bounces the signal off of Jupiter or Saturn
NASA can't talk to spacecraft on the other side of the planet
NASA has very, very big cables that pass through the center of Earth
NASA uses satellites high above Earth to relay messages around the planet
