Prep-Conj-Int Review

(CONJ) He was both scared and intimidated by whatever it was that ran into the boiler.

(CONJ) Another boy tried to break down the front door with a massive head butt; however, he failed.

(CONJ) Although they were dazed, they were able to stand.

(PUNCTUATION) Although he was extremely dizzy, he still tried to find a way out of the house.

(CONJ) He opened the boiler door slowly, for he knew the thing might leap out at him.

(PREP) As he leaned into the boiler, the door closed and he fell inside.

(PREP) In spite of his scare, he remained downstairs.

(PUNCTUATION) The first boy sat in a corner and he began to cry.

(CONJ) They ran frantically through the house, trying to find an exit.

(PUNCTUATION) No one was ever able to open the doors of the mansion, and the boys were never heard from again.

(INT) Move quickly! The giant ants are near!

(PUNCTUATION) It was a massive collision, and both boys collapsed.

(PREP) He cautiously crept toward the old boiler.

(PREP) Many people believe that the mansion is haunted.

(CONJ) Before his friends started down the steps, he wanted to investigate.

(PREP) He decided to hide in the old mansion.

(PREP) The boiler door was open, but he could not see inside the old metal beast.

(PUNCTUATION) Near the front door the head-butt boy had regained his feet.

(INT) Run!

(PREP) He leaned against the boiler and tried to look inside.

(CONJ) The thing slithered quickly under a shelf.

(PUNCTUATION) The boy who hit the window recovered, however, he was quite dizzy.

(CONJ) The force of the door knocked the two boys back about three feet.

(CONJ) The door would not open, yet they kept trying to open it.

(CONJ) They tried to open the front door, but it would not budge.

(PREP) He did not believe that the mansion was haunted.

(PREP) Suddenly, he thought he saw something run across the floor.

(CONJ) One of the boys tried to jump through a window, but the window had bars on it.

(INT) Get out of my room!

(INT) Uh, did you know the answers to the test questions?

(INT) Ouch! That brick hurt my skull!

(INT) Ugh! How did he miss that shot?

(PUNCTUATION) He hit the door, and fell straight backwards.

(PREP) The noises seemed to come from the old boiler.

(CONJ) Not only did the thing leap out at him, but it also attached itself to his face.

(CONJ) He thought it ran into the boiler, but he was not sure.

(CONJ) He no longer wanted to hide, lest he be attacked again by the thing.

(PREP) Above him, he heard the door slowly open.

(CONJ) When he reached the top of the stairs, his friends were at the door.

(CONJ) He grabbed the lizard-like thing and threw it against the wall.

(CONJ) Whether they believed him or not, they decided to run.

(PUNCTUATION) Not only was he not giving up, but he was also looking to complete another head butt.

(PUNCTUATION) In the darkened house the head butt boy could not see, and he head butted the window boy.

(INT) Oh! I did not know you were invited!

(CONJ) While still not sure what he saw, he slowly approached the boiler again.

(PREP) He did not - for one second -believe the house was haunted.

(INT) Hey! Don't touch that vase!

(PREP) Luckily the boiler was off, and had not worked for years.

(PREP) He was briefly trapped in the small boiler, until he kicked the door open.

(INT) Wow! I did not see that coming!

(PUNCTUATION) All three boys were exhausted, thus, they would have to spend the night in the mansion.

(CONJ) He flung open the door, right into his friends.

(PREP) Once inside, he chose to hide under the stairs.

(CONJ) There were now several of the lizard-like creatures trying to attack them.

(PREP) When he went into the basement to hide, he heard strange noises.

(PREP) He crouched in a corner, knowing he would be difficult to find.

(PREP) He could hear his friends coming, so he hid under the stairs.

(PREP) He still could not see, so he leaned forward and looked inside.

(PREP) He sprang out of the open door.

(INT) Oh no! I forgot to study!
