Ecology 4.2-4.3

A food web is a _____________ of food chains.

Food chains show a flow of __________

What is a trophic level?

Carbon moves through the ecosystem in a cycle.

Food webs have NO effect on the ecosystem.

Energy transfer is reduced by how much with each step UP a trophic level?

Food chain show a flow of energy using brackets

Water does not move through the different parts of an ecosystem.

Geological processes are how Earth's surface effects the ecosystem.

Use of fosil fuels, farming, deforestation, and land development are examples of what?

Once an element is used in the biogeochemical cycle it is gone forever.

The greatest exchange of carbon is found on land.

The nutrient cycle helps support nutrient dense plants.

Biological processes like eating, drinking, and eliminating waste products are_____________.

Matter flows between trophic level.
